See Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House

This simple timber house is where Ho Chi Minh ruled wartime North Vietnam, explains Rusty Compass. A “humble, traditional stilt house,” it’s set in “a well-tended garden adjacent a carp-filled pond” and and has been preserved just as Ho left it, writes Lonely Planet. Now used for official receptions, it isn't open to the public, but you can wander the grounds “if you stick to the paths.”
