“This white-sand beach is a long crescent dotted with basket boats,” writes Fodors. “Local fishing boats are often moored just offshore, which unfortunately means there's often quite a bit of trash on the beach,” but if you can walk to the southern end of the beach, and over a headland, you reach “the more secluded but rocky Queen's Beach and then futher on to the Quy Hoa leper colony … allocate half a day for this hike -- it's a good 6 km (4 miles) or so.”
